NBC Commentator Comes in His Pants While Discussing Islanders’ Game 3 Performance

Justin Williams scored the go-ahead goal with 9:55 left in the third period, while Teuvo Teravainen and Sebastian Aho both scored empty net goals as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Islanders 5-2 in Game 3 on Wednesday.

The win gives Carolina a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Islanders in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

However, the real fireworks came during the NBCSN Intermission report following the first period.

NBCSN commentator Keith Jones was forced to excuse himself while discussing Devon Toews’ first period power-play goal for the Islanders, after experiencing what producers initially called a “wardrobe malfunction”.

“To put it bluntly,” one NBCSN producer later clarified, “he ejaculated in his pants.”

Jones apologized off-camera, explaining that the Islanders’ initial goal got him wound up.

“I was just so excited,” Jones told reporters. “The Islanders finally scored their own goal in the series, without the help of any Hurricanes players, and I just couldn’t control myself.”

Jones said that while he was disappointed that the Islanders fell into a 3-0 hole, the worst thing about the evening was that he ruined his new pair of slacks.

“They cost me 85 dollars,” Jones added. “Money doesn’t grow on trees, eh?”

Game 4 is scheduled for Friday in Raleigh.
